January Haul/Wanelo

Being the MAC obsessive that I am, I was more than impressed when my sister bought me this MAC Bronzer ( shade - Golden). Before receiving this I had been getting by on some bronzer I had owned for years on end, so this felt like a god send and I was extremely grateful. I'd definitely recommend this product as it really is worth it and gives your cheeks great definition. It works especially well, when used with the MAC Mineral Brush (as shown in the top right) - which is also another gift I received and now entirely depend on.
If any of you know me, you will know that I have been slumming it with an awful scruffy purse for quite some time now and this weekend I just thought, you know - enough is enough. Time for a new addition. Therefore I popped into River Island and picked up this little beauty. At 10 swarzee (pounds) I cannot complain. Its pretty and it does the job. Again, if my previous posts are anything to go by, you will know that I have been desperate to get my hands on some spiked Jeffrey Cambells. Unfortunately these aren't the real thing *sigh* poor people problems, I know. However this almost exact replicate are good enough for me.

I recently came across this new social networking platform for all you other fashionistas out there. Its amazing! I'm addicted already. Its an app called 'Wanelo'. God only knows how you pronounce it, but anyway you should seriously download it. The stream of products are available to buy at just one click and you can get some lovely unique stuff on here and some great quirky gifts! Follow me :-) - @larzxo

I was more than delighted when my friend bought me these for my birthday. I'm already a big fan of the pink and blue bottles - but honestly this Jelly Belly Very Cherry drink is something else. It tastes amazzzzzzzing.

This is one of the presents that my boyfriend bought me from Eric Vintage in Newcastle. Obviously 'BEST' is my new favourite brand. There is also a shop in Leeds! I love love love it.

My weekend in photos

This weekend I actually socialised (shocker!). Problem is I enjoy my own company far too much and when my friends go out in town I either stay at home watching Keeping up with the Kardashians or have a Sex in The City marathon. Either that or I'm working. However this week I thought I would venture out and see what all the fuss is about. I spent the evening with my two best friends which was well overdue.

I also got my Christmas shopping done. However I almost had a breakdown In Vivienne Westwood because I was buying for other people and not my self. I didn't even let my self loose in Topshop because I knew I'd end up spending all my money on me! I went to Nottingham, which is one of my favourite cities - mainly because pretty much all my favourite shops are there.

Thought I'd post a selfie of my weekend outfit: Peplem top, Leather Jacket and All Saints jeans. Sunday was spent recovering from the night before and my lovely sister cooked us a delicious Sunday dinner. All in all a wonderful weekend. However I am now procrastinating as I am supposed to be doing my English Coursework. Boohoo!

Oh and does anybody wish to purchase that amazing beanie and leather tinsel dress for me? Please :(

It's because I'm green isn't it?

Yes the title of this post is from The Grinch in case you were wondering. I thought it was rather appropriate for the image I've posted, god knows what possessed me to wear all green, reckon I'm turning into a Scrooge this year or something. Anyhow, as usual today I wasn't feeling particularly girly; therefore I threw on some Nike Blazers, the all famous Topshop 'Geek' top and my sacred Ragged Priest coat, along with some leggings.

I'm desperate to go shopping however I am lacking funds due to buying Christmas presents. However I'm not complaining because I enjoy buying people presents and seeing their face when they unwrap it. I had a bit of a splurge on ASOS tonight though and managed to buy most of my boyfriends' presents so it has been a rather successful/productive evening.

Other than that, my day has been consumed by studying, reading Kardashian Konfidential (I would highly recommend) and watching American TV on E! Such an interesting life I lead. Hope you're all well my lovelies! xo

Studs, jumpers, winter and work.

Is it me or is it absolutely fweeeeezing this morning?! ( trust me it is.) However, I'm not one to complain about the crisp winter weather, I love it. There is nothing more thrilling than venturing outside in the cold whilst you're all snuggled. I tend to stand on crunchy leaves at any opportunity.

Once again it's been a busy week for me. I've not even had time to go out a jog, which I was slightly disappointed about but hey-ho. So the picture shows my outfit today with my little ted bag (duh!). I decided to opt for my studded jumper as I have yet to of worn if until now for some reason unknown.

This week I went out for a costa with my lovely friend from work; Jacob as he is leaving me to go to Australia for a year the lucky person! Boohoo. However I really enjoyed it.

Really considering getting a rich, decent leave in conditioner at some point this week as my hair is just in need of SOS seriously. Any recommendations you beauty gods?! Hope you're all well. PS I am loving my iPhone its amaze, I'm a geek I know!

winter frost bite!

This weekend was pay day at work, which is obviously my favourite thing ever and I was treated especially well this month, because I worked more hours than normal due to Halloween - meaning more $$. However, being the dreadful person I am, the next day day I intended on going Christmas shopping buuuut you know how it is. There were several items I had my heart set on all month and therefore had to purchase them. I came to an agreement in my head that I would spend half of the money on my self and the rest on buying presents and luckily I stuck to this little arrangement.

First of all I headed to Topshop (of course) and spent a dismal £80 in there all on my self. The picture in the top left shows me modelling some of my purchases. Don't judge me ok, I'm totally into this whole army trend but I refuse to buy a Camo jacket simply because of the stigma attached. I would rather not be referred to as a 'hipster' thank you very much, however I think this plain army print tee deemed more acceptable, as well as keeping on trend. Absolutely loving my spiked necklace which I got in the sale for £3.50, just call me a bargain hunter! Anyways, the shopping trip was successful and I got everything I went for.

Sooo...is anyone else feeling the cold as much as I am. Pretty sure my entire body went numb last night at the fireworks display?! Not impressed. However, i only have my self to blame for not wearing gloves - because don't get me wrong, winter is definitely my favourite season! I absolutely love the whole wrapping up warm and the run down to Christmas. I especially love winter fashion - I genuinely really dislike summer fashion, its so tacky; to me fashion is all about layers and accessories and how can you possibly do that when its sizzling hot? Anyone else get any bargains this week or go to a bonfire?

What i've been up to...

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I've been extremely busy working etc... So I thought I'd just tell all you pretty people what I've been up to recently!!!! The other week I bought a new coat (as shown in the picture) which I bought from the Ragged Priest. I previously wrote a post about the brand because I'm a massive fan of it so I was really excited to buy this coat as it is going to play a staple part in my wardrobe over winter. I love this style of it, the fur makes it so cosy and of course the studs and sewn on denim just give it that extra edge...I've had loads of people comment on the coat thinking that I'd customized it my self because they thought it looked really cool!

The puppy in the photo is called Biscuit, he is such a cutie! We bought him for my dad as a Christmas/Birthday present as he had been hassling us for ages saying that he wanted a puppy so we took it up for him as a suprise. He is such a lovely dog with sooooo much energy. (Credits for me for thinking of the cute name for him :-D).

Obviously last weekend was Halloween weekend, well its actually today but still. I worked in a Bar/Club and we threw our Halloween Party on Saturday in which everybody dressed up. I decided to go as a Zombie Bride!

Then today I have been panning my way through that pile of books as I am currently in the midst of researching for my extended project that I'm doing. To some of you it may look tedious, but I love reading so it wasn't a chore at all; in fact it was quite therapeutic, as well as educational! It also reminded me how much I had been abandoning the books on my shelf and that I really should start reading on more of a regular basis again. Anyways, I hope you all had a good weekend and managed to get dressed up as a freak - I did and thoroughly enjoyed the process. :-) Hit me with your comments, love hearing from you all!!!! xo

Witching Hour

With Halloween creeping up on us, we're all on the search for that perfect costume. - But, who says that Halloween is just for children? - And who's rule was it that you're only allowed to dress up as a witch or a cat? Everyone loves to play dress up and with the new Witching Hour collection on Topshop, I had to literally stop my self from 'adding to basket' (with no intentions of actually purchasing anything!).

This new trend is for the gothic goddess within. Its a mean, dark and enchanting trend that focuses on mystery and statement looks. Whilst scrolling through the amazing pieces this trend has to offer, I decided to do a 'get the look' because of course its getting to that doom and gloom time of year... and well what better way to embrace the horrific English weather and dark nights, than by dressing head to toe in black?

We've all got a bit of Adams Family lurking within somewhere. So, I of course chose a leather jacket to go with the outfit simply because its a timeless garment that is also a staple wardrobe item. (bible. honestly it works wonders for even most outrageous items you may have hidden in your closet). This is an oversized biker jacket. If you feel the oversized look doesn't quite cut it for you and you feel like a motorcyclist rookie, then you can always opt for a more feminine alternative. Deep berry lipstick to finish off the outfit, teamed with a smokey eye palette, you're onto a winner. I chose these studded platforms because they're on keeping with the trend but don't overpower the rest of the outfit or cause any distractions. Then of course, the bralet and midi skirt with a lace over lay for the gothic queen within. - Happy Haunting my lovelies (cackles on que).

Confession.

I'll be the first to admit. I'll hold my hands up and confess that yes I am in fact - a sucker for leather and studs. We all have that one fashion obsession that we just want to re-live forever and this is mine. Whenever wandering aimlessly around shopping centres I almost have anything leather and studs on some sort of radar and if I come across anything fitting that description - I have to purchase. I'm totally into the rock/gothic look, its edgy and can add a great element to any outfit. Sometimes I go all out and flaunt a grunge ensemble, other days I'm a pastel princess. It entirely depends what mood I'm in, however I would say this sort of clothing and shoes is my 'safe place' and what I feel most comfortable in. I suppose that's the thing with fashion, the meaning of the word is so vague and there are so many options. Probably the reason why everybody has caught the bug, but can you blame us?

The Ragged Priest

Ok so i recently discovered this fierce new brand: The Ragged Priest. Any closet fashionistas, lovers’ of grunge and all things leather will absolute worship this brand. The Ragged Priest quickly emerged and became more well known when it collaborated with Topshop and began to sell their products on there. Its not just us bloggers’ who have fallen in love with them, looks like the celebrities have caught on with the hype - as Rihanna and Jessie J have recently been snapped sporting the attire.
The Ragged Priest focuses very much on re-working vintage leather and denim by customising the garments with studs and various other embellishments. As well as being a wardrobe toughening brand, the products are affordable but will guarantee to set you aside from the crowd. What more could you want from a brand? - affordable fashion which is fierce and grunge heaven! It will save your poor little hands from getting blisters studding your vintage leather biker and spending hours on end perfecting the ideal look. I can almost smell the leather from here! Grab yourself a new staple item and make a new statement wardrobe quickly or i will!
