May/June Empties

Morning all! Sooo today I thought that since it was the end of the month I would do my very first 'empties' post!

I've had this planned for a while now and have purposely been keeping hold of empty products. Normally like any other person I would just chuck the empty packet straight in the ol' bin but for this purpose I thought it would be acceptable to hoard empty packaging.

So with no further ado' please welcome my very first empties post with love - If this post is popular I might consider making this a regular post. I mean, it gives you all the opportunity to have a snoop around the products I've been slapping on over the past few weeks and also will hopefully give you an idea of whether you'd like to purchase any of my stuff for your self.

First up is the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclait Foundation - This has quickly  become a staple in my face of the day. Well I say this, although I haven't actually used it in a while. I reckon this is just because I'm really into this whole contouring look at the moment which is obviously heavier make up and well the YSL Foundation is light on the skin, sheer and gives your skin a lovely radiance and glow. I love this Foundation, I mean it's pretty expensive (around £30) but it really is worth it and when I went through a stage of wearing it all the time a bottle lasted me more than 2 months. Another thing that I love about the Touche Eclait Foundation is the bottle and packaging, it's such a big bottle which looks really luxurious and I'm just in love with it! If you're looking for a look that is natural but beautiful this Foundation is really worth giving a whirl, there is definitely a shade for everyone.

Next up is the winner of all the empties here this month...the Lush Cupcake Face Mask. Oh my god I just love it! This is the first Lush Face Mask I have purchased (I mean I've had samples of the Oatifix but never gone ahead with the purchase). I am SO pleased with this product,  at first I thought well it's a little expensive (£6.25) and I will only get a couple of uses out of it. WELL boy was I wrong, I've used this lovely face mask at least 15 times this month and I haven't been scrimping neither. Every time I've used it I've slapped on a whole load of product on my face. The benefits don't end here neither...if you want to get a chocolate fix but don't want to have a horrific calorie intake this will be right up your street. Why eat chocolate when you can smother it on your face and inhale the glorious smell for 10 minutes? Mmmmm. Another thing I like about the Cupcake Face Mask is the fact you have to keep it in the fridge. If you're anything like me and feel as though you're going to faint when you get in the bath, this will cool you right down, it's so refreshing to put on your face it really is. Lush also have an incentive for loyal Lush-ees in which, if you return 5 full size empty Face Mask Pots you will get one free of your choice, what a fabulous idea!

I know I'm totally preaching all of these empty products right now but  I wouldn't preach anything to you if I wasn't happy with it just saying guys :)

Another sweet smelling scent I would like to share with you guys is the Victoria Secrets Magnolia Spray. I bought this amazing body spray for £2.50 when Victoria Secrets had a (very rare) sale on. I got this back in January along with a couple of other sprays, lotions, potions and PJ's and how I wish I just purchased a thousand more! Normally the sprays are on offer 5 for £30 so getting one for £2.50 is great value and the added bonus is that they last forever. This VS Spray has quickly become my signature scent, along with Love Spell & Coconut & Passionfruit. They just smell incredible, I am now quickly running out of VS sprays so will have to stock up on new ones soon but I just thought this was a lovely floral scent I had to share with you. I got so many compliments when wearing it and would describe it as a light sweet floral scent.

Y'all already know what my thoughts are on Hand Food. I will preach about Soap & Glory until the cows come home and this little pocket size product is no exception. I have both the travel size and full size version of this product and always re-purchase. It has a sweet scent of Marshmellows and mositurizes your hands on cold winter days. I've found that I haven't had to use Hand Food as much now that the sun is shining but always keep it on hand just in case.

Last but certainly not least is the MAC Volcanic Ash Exfoliator. I am in love with this product! I was a little skeptical about this at first but when I actually started using it, it was like love at first sight. Now I have obviously ran out of this product now but definitely intend on re-purchasing. I usually use it around 2-3 times a week to give my face a good scrub. This Exfoliator makes your face look as though you've completed an Army Obstacle course but seriously this stuff works wonders for your face!

Have you used any of these products before? What products did you use up this month?

Review - MAC Alluring Aquatic Bronzing Powder

So today lovely people I have decided to give you the low down on the MAC Alluring Aquatic Bronzing Powder. I was intrigued by this MAC collection so I just decided to go ahead and purchase it. I was on the look out for a bronzer anyway and this one just really happened to catch my eye.

I'll be honest - the pretty packaging was a huge pull factor for me. It just looks so pretty and well, as it says on the tin 'aquatic'. I've given this product a shot for a few weeks or so and thought it was about time I let you know whether its a winner or not.

*Disclaimer* Huge apologies for the photo quality, with this packaging being reflective it was so difficult to get images without any reflections on it and I only have my Iphone to take pictures on for the time being.

Now my first thought on this Bronzing Powder is - it's bloody brilliant! It was everything I was looking for in a Bronzer. It has quickly become a staple item in my make up bag. A few weeks in and I'm already wondering how I ever dealt with out. I decided to purchase the bronzer to 1. give me a sun kissed glow and a bit of colour and 2. to have a go at Contouring.  I know you can contour with either Foundation or Powder but I thought I would give the Powder a go first of all and d'ya what?! I'm really getting in the swing of things.  I love Contouring! ...But we will save that for another post.

I purchased this Bronzing Powder in the shade 'Refined Golden' and I think there are a few more shades available. The great thing is about this product is you really do not need much actual product at all. In fact, just a tiny dab of the brush in the pan will most definitely do the job. I am really impressed with the minimal amount of product you actually need as I know this means the bronzer will last me for ages - fantastic value for money, I feel as though I can justify the price already.

Like I said previously - I've been wearing this Bronzer pretty much every day since I've purchased it and d'ya know what I've actually had a load of compliments. Who would have thought a bit of Bronzer would make you look so much more presentable. I feel as though the Bronzer just really adds that bit of glow to your face and makes it look a lot more chiseled and defined.

If the water droplet, teal coloured packaging isn't enough to persuade you or if you're looking for a Bronzer that you want to be able to Contour with, add a bit of glam to your look or just to give you a bit of colour, This really is a winner and I would 100% recommend it.

Candy Bracelets

So last weekend I decided to play about with having a photo shoot, it's something I've never done before so I'm aware that it is very much amateur but it was just something I wanted to have fun with. Photo shoots are naturally awkward as it means you're suddenly put in the spot light and every sense of movement you've ever had seems to disappear as soon as a camera is put in front of your face.

Here is a run down of what I'm wearing:
  • The gorgeous bracelets are from LizzleTrix. LizzleTrix makes bracelets that look good enough to eat. In this shot I'm wearing - Club Tropicana, Dolly Daydream (my favourite!!), Lizzlelove and Ibiza purple (my second favourite). The Dolly Daydream is my favourite bracelet as it really does look like Dolly Mixture sweets and I seriously just wanted to eat it! Ibiza purple was my second favourite as I'm totally into this neon purple look at the moment. I also feel the Ibiza bracelet teamed great with the old school bomber jacket I'm wearing.
  • The golden rustic looking spiked necklace is from New Look. This is a staple item of mine and I tend probably over wear it.
  • The bomber jacket is Vintage.
  • The Short-sleeved Clementine shaded shirt dress is my amazing new dress which I purchased from Best Newcastle. Best is my favourite shop as it is full of re-worked vintage clothing. It's right up my street.
  •  And last but not least, my shoes are Nike Blazers that were purchased from Foot Asylum.
You can purchase the LizzleTrix bracelets I was wearing on:  http://www.lizzletrix.com/
Follow them on Twitter:  @LizzleTrix
They're also on Instagram: lizzletrix

In the shots I'm wearing -
  • MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation
  • MAC Lipstick in shade 'Saint Germain'
  • The Benefit Smokey Eye Palette
  • MAC Bronzer
  • Loreal Mascara

Street Style, Ombre and Girl Problems!

So, as you all know I am a massive fan of the brand 'The Ragged Priest'. I've previously written a post about it. The Ragged Priest is an independent street style brand which I love.  Anyway, my boyfriend being the wonderful person he is,  bought me a beanie hat and a dress from there. I've wanted this beanie for ages so I was dead happy when he got me this. The dress, I also love. It is half denim, half leather. The pictures maybe deceiving but this dress is actually really tight around my ass!!! - but cause I love it so much, I'll make it fit. The only trouble with The Ragged Priest is that the sizing is a 'one size fits all' and is supposed to fit a size 6-12 and me being a 10, well I do struggle!

I just thought I'd upload that picture as it really shows off my ombre hair and brings out the colour and I thought it looked pretty cool - however I'll let you be the judge of that.

Then yesterday I took a quick detour to Asda to get a few things for tea, but as per I got distracted and ended up getting some Disney Princess Bubble Bath (Ooops) - girl problems ey. I also purchased a box of Fruit Loops as I always used to see these on American TV programmes and wanted to try them. They taste amaze, no joke. Oh and I also decided to get The Life Of Pi book because I recently went to see the film at the cinema and I loved it.

January Haul/Wanelo

Being the MAC obsessive that I am, I was more than impressed when my sister bought me this MAC Bronzer ( shade - Golden). Before receiving this I had been getting by on some bronzer I had owned for years on end, so this felt like a god send and I was extremely grateful. I'd definitely recommend this product as it really is worth it and gives your cheeks great definition. It works especially well, when used with the MAC Mineral Brush (as shown in the top right) - which is also another gift I received and now entirely depend on.
If any of you know me, you will know that I have been slumming it with an awful scruffy purse for quite some time now and this weekend I just thought, you know - enough is enough. Time for a new addition. Therefore I popped into River Island and picked up this little beauty. At 10 swarzee (pounds) I cannot complain. Its pretty and it does the job. Again, if my previous posts are anything to go by, you will know that I have been desperate to get my hands on some spiked Jeffrey Cambells. Unfortunately these aren't the real thing *sigh* poor people problems, I know. However this almost exact replicate are good enough for me.

I recently came across this new social networking platform for all you other fashionistas out there. Its amazing! I'm addicted already. Its an app called 'Wanelo'. God only knows how you pronounce it, but anyway you should seriously download it. The stream of products are available to buy at just one click and you can get some lovely unique stuff on here and some great quirky gifts! Follow me :-) - @larzxo

I was more than delighted when my friend bought me these for my birthday. I'm already a big fan of the pink and blue bottles - but honestly this Jelly Belly Very Cherry drink is something else. It tastes amazzzzzzzing.

This is one of the presents that my boyfriend bought me from Eric Vintage in Newcastle. Obviously 'BEST' is my new favourite brand. There is also a shop in Leeds! I love love love it.

Go on, have a browse...

Rather than doing a long post like the other previous (aside from the selfies one) - I just thought I'd post pictures and quickly explain each of them, so here we go...

1. My sister and her boyfriend bought me a Thomas Sabo bracelet for Christmas with a Statue of Liberty charm.
2. They also got me a Lakers top.
3. I had a catch up with two of my best friends.
4. My boyfriend and I dyed each others hair (cute) he did mine ombré and I added a blonde flick into his.
5. I got some new clothes from DEEP and All Saints.
6. I wore this sparkly dress for New Years Eve and intend on wearing it again, I love it.
7. Revision.
8. I treated myself to some more MAC cosmetics, woooops.

I'm back...

Hello and a belated merry christmas and happy new year. I'm an awful excuse for a human I know! I'm ever so sorry, I've been revising flat out for my English Language exam (which is on Wednesday) over Christmas; amongst other things. I feel as though I've neglected you all, sowwwi.

Ok so to get you all up to speed this is how I spent my Christmas holidays:
1.First of all I went to Newcastle for three days to stay at my boyfriends which was amaze. We ordered from a desserts take away which does Oreo Cheesecake, Mountain Dew, Jelly Belly drinks and tonnes of other American treats. I was overwhelmed it was so cool, just wish we had one in my town.
2. Just thought I would share a photo of Kyles tragic attempt at a sleeve tattoo.
3. I fell in love with two Vintage shops in Newcastle; DEEP and Eric (which I revisited and you will be able to see in my next post).
4. I worked a lot over Christmas as we were really busy in the Bar I worked, so the group snap is of me and a few friends!
5. I got spoilt at Christmas. Again I've decided to divide this little catch up into two posts, otherwise it's a bit much to take up as quite frankly - I've been a busy little puppy this month.

My weekend in photos

This weekend I actually socialised (shocker!). Problem is I enjoy my own company far too much and when my friends go out in town I either stay at home watching Keeping up with the Kardashians or have a Sex in The City marathon. Either that or I'm working. However this week I thought I would venture out and see what all the fuss is about. I spent the evening with my two best friends which was well overdue.

I also got my Christmas shopping done. However I almost had a breakdown In Vivienne Westwood because I was buying for other people and not my self. I didn't even let my self loose in Topshop because I knew I'd end up spending all my money on me! I went to Nottingham, which is one of my favourite cities - mainly because pretty much all my favourite shops are there.

Thought I'd post a selfie of my weekend outfit: Peplem top, Leather Jacket and All Saints jeans. Sunday was spent recovering from the night before and my lovely sister cooked us a delicious Sunday dinner. All in all a wonderful weekend. However I am now procrastinating as I am supposed to be doing my English Coursework. Boohoo!

Oh and does anybody wish to purchase that amazing beanie and leather tinsel dress for me? Please :(

It's the weekend!

And it's finally the weekend! However, I certainly don't have time to relax this weekend, I'm afraid it's all go.

Last night I totted off to work and didnt get home til 3am and then I had to get up at 10am *sniffs*. Although I don't particularly mind because I went shopping in Lincoln; it was so Christmassy and there was a lovely atmosphere so I really enjoyed it especially spending time with my Nanny. We managed to get lots of presents.

Is anyone else suffering from chapped lips this week? This cold weather has hit me hard. My pale skin can't battle with this weather any longer, I feel as though I'm constantly slapping on moisturiser and lip balm.

At some point this weekend I need to book my train ticket to Newcastle, which I am really looking forward to. Oh and that picture is of the River Trent which has overflown the river bank. Scary stuff!!!!
